Jet Share Network's mission is to offer private jet seats at under £500 between the UK and Mallorca/Ibiza; simultaneously providing a more secure anti-Covid-19 journey by eradicating all the person-to-person interactions at airport terminals and on commercial aircraft.

A recent study found that travelling through airport terminals and flying on commercial airlines creates around 270 possible interpersonal interactions, where one could be exposed to Coronavirus, versus less than 10 on a private jet flight.

  • Jet Share Network's purpose is to enable overseas yacht and private home owners to travel as safely as possible.

It is recognised that a private yacht or private holiday villa offers the same social isolation benefits as found in a primary home, so long as the journey in between the two is equally as private.

  • Jet Share Network's offering is unique by eliminating the empty-leg aspect of private charter flights.

By fully utilising the jet in both directions with scheduled round trip itineraries, a hybrid private/commercial jet offering is created. Boasting the financial benefits of commercial flying coupled with the enhanced benefits of private jet flying. The private jet also cuts the likely door to door time in half.

Our sister company, Yacht Share Network is the global leader in co-ownership yachting and its founders had in the past created the UK's largest privately-owned travel group specialising in charter flights to holiday destinations. The CEO of Jet Share Network is the Senior Training Captain for a well-known UK based long haul airline and is a CAA rated pilot examiner with over 30 years of experience operating a wide range of aircraft from executive jets through to large long-haul airliners.

  • It's not yet clear how passengers on commercial flights will be screened for Covid-19 until there's a vaccine:

    Airport terminals process high levels of international traffic between a wide range of global destinations, so one cannot be sure passengers are adequately screened or meet the UK’s standards for personal protection equipment.

  • At a minimum, passengers probably have their temperatures checked when we arrive at the airport, but this won't weed out the high proportion of asymptomatic virus cases.
  • Blood tests or so-called "immunity passports" may be required for international travel but even these have limitations.
  • Passengers who disembark from a high-risk location may have to enter quarantine.
  • Health checks will slow down getting through immigration on take-off and landing.
  • You may need to arrive 4 or 5 hours before a flight to clear additional safety routines.
  • Passengers will need to queue with 2m gaps inside (or outside) the terminal, much like the queues at experienced at our local supermarkets.
  • Governments may have to cap the number of departing flights to prevent crowding.
  • Passengers will have wear face masks and may need to bring their own provisions.
  • Prices will be higher to accommodate physically distancing inside the aircraft as many carriers are leaving the middle seat unoccupied, but the health benefits are still dubious. Modern aircraft have air-filtration systems that remove viruses, but these might not protect you if the person in the seat in front or behind has a cough.

Financial

Jet Share Network have been diligent in sourcing the right jet for the job, considering acquisition cost, running cost and a minimum 8-seater capacity as the primary facets - coupled with flying comfort, instant spare part or alternatve aircraft availability as additional facets.

Jet Share Network divide the jet's maintenance cost by the 16 shares on a pro-rata basis,with each co-owner paying their share of the jet’s running cost by monthly standing order at £1945.

Each share is entitled to 30 hours flying time, which equates to about 6 return flights between London & Mallorca/Ibiza plus a weekend or business trip away elsewhere in Europe.

Jet Share Network will be happy to act for co-owners for the re-sale of their share should they wish to exit from the co-ownership programme at any stage. There is no minimum term, but it is anticipated that the jet will be sold after 3 years of successful operation.

Jet Share Network will arrange meet and greet destination transfers, performed by its own hygienically prepared minibus, from jet to yacht/villa and back for the return flight.

Jet Share Network will medically test all crew and transfer staff to minimise co-owner exposure while travelling.

Jet Share Network will create a UK holding company exclusively for each jet with each co-owner having pro-rata voting rights and limited liability status. The jet is fully tax paid to mitigate any future revenue avoidance issues.

Jet Share Network will enrol each jet in The Fractional Association as a Platinum Member and operate the jet’s co-ownership programme in line with the Fractional Association’s code of conduct.

Hawker 800B

The Hawker 800B, as a true mid-size private jet, combines spacious comfort and excellent range.

The cabin, offering five individual seats and a three-seat divan, has recently undergone a complete refurbishment and now boasts luxurious light grey leather seating with black piano gloss tables and trim.

The aircraft has two internal baggage holds which are suited to soft bags.

This is treated as an indicative booking request only, and you are not committed until you choose to make your individual payment for each sector 14 days prior to each departure date.

  • The service will run until demand diminishes, so it’s important to have all your potential dates this year pre-requested, as the jet only has 8 seats.
  • If you have a smaller party than 8, but wish to occupy the aircraft exclusively, you can simply buy all 8 seats.
  • This service will be scheduled to depart from Biggin Hill as we have extensive anti Covid-19 policies and procedures in place there. We suggest you drive your own car from your home and park right by the aircraft, thus minimising external person-to-person interactions. We estimate that that you will reduce your exposure from over 270 person-to-person interactions on a commercial flight to less than 10 through our arrangement.
  • Should you wish to have the aircraft collect you from your local airport, that is easily arranged. In those circumstances we will rely on 3rd parties and cannot fully control the person-to person interactions. We will quote you a supplement for the repositioning pick-up including all ancillary fees.
